概要

  2012年2月の「戦略予防法務支援セミナー」は、同内容で大阪と東京の２会場で実施致します。

Rob M. Masters　弁護士　(Partner, Global Vice-Chair of Intellectual Property, Paul Hastings LLP)

Rob Masters is the global vice chair of Intellectual Property at Paul Hastings, overseeing the firm's 100 plus lawyer IP practice, and chair of the firm's litigation practice in Washington D.C. Mr. Masters focuses his practice on patent and trade secret litigation where has served as lead trial lawyer on a number of major cases. He has extensive experience representing leading technology companies in a broad range of technologies, including the areas of computer hardware and software, secured internet/network communications and protocols, consumer electronics and semiconductor designs, financial services, telecommunications, medical devices, and sporting goods.
Mr. Masters has successfully represented his clients in courts across the United States and before the United States International Trade Commission, and has managed litigations worldwide. Legal 500 has recognized Mr. Masters as one of the Leading Lawyers for patent litigation, describing him as "an excellent patent attorney and a superb litigator - a real fighter."
In addition to his active patent litigation docket, Mr. Masters counsels clients on patent infringement/validity issues, patent and technology license agreements, and patent monetization and procurement.
Mr. Masters is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, receiving a Bachelors of Science in electrical engineering in 1985. He received his law degree from the University of Baltimore in 1990. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Masters had a successful career at Westinghouse Electric Corporation as a senior design engineer, responsible for the design and implementation of computer hardware and software applications for ground-based radars.

Michael P. A. Cohen is an Antitrust and Competition partner in the Litigation Department of Paul Hastings, where he chairs the Global Competition practice. For the past twenty years his practice has focused on antitrust, trade regulation and competition law, excepting his service as an assistant special prosecutor pursuing criminal convictions in connection with financial institution failures in the early 1990's.
Mr. Cohen's practice covers criminal and civil antitrust and trade regulation matters, including district court and appellate litigation, as well as merger and non-merger investigations before the United States Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission. His work since 1990 has spanned a wide variety of industries.
Mr. Cohen continues to handle antitrust criminal defense work and criminal fraud investigations across industries as well. Chambers and Partners lists Mr. Cohen as a notable antitrust practitioner in Washington, D.C., indicating that clients praise his "standout customer service," his "rapport with the agencies," his "encyclopedic knowledge," and describe him as "an outstanding courtroom lawyer who is very practical, very skilled and very smart."
